SIG SEC Election Results Announcement

AIS SIG SEC congratulates the winners of our recent officer election. Clay Posey was elected President-Elect and will become President at AMCIS 2027. Jonna Järveläinen was elected Secretary and will serve through AMCIS 2028. May Bantan was elected At-Large Director and will serve through AMCIS 2027.

Clay Posey is a Professor of Information Systems at Brigham Young University’s Marriott School of Business, which he joined in 2021. He holds a D.B.A. in Computer Information Systems from Louisiana Tech University and has published widely on insider threat, security policy compliance, and employees’ protection-motivated behaviors in outlets including MIS Quarterly, Journal of Management Information Systems, and Journal of Business Ethics.

Jonna Järveläinen is an Associate Professor of Information Systems Science at the University of Jyväskylä’s Faculty of Information Technology. Her research centers on cybersecurity and business continuity management, the human role in cybersecurity, and responsibility in digital transformation, using qualitative and design science research methods.

May Bantan is an Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity Management in the College of Business at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. Her research focuses on digital privacy and security, including open-source intelligence and personal data exposure, GDPR-compliant data processing, and IoT privacy risks, with recent work on AI-driven disinformation and cybersecurity threats. She has served as a proceedings editor for the ACM SIGMIS Computers and People Research (CPR) conference in 2024 and 2025.
